Humble beginnings.
ShelTech was founded in 2019 by Ryan Shelton, a seasoned inventor, designer, and entrepreneur. With a clear mission, ShelTech aimed to leverage Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology to design, develop, and manufacture products of varying sizes and complexities.
Initially, ShelTech focused on applying FDM to the model rocketry industry. Their early endeavors produced compact rockets, approximately 50-65mm tall, compatible with Estes A-B-C black powder motors. These smaller models were primarily intended for recreational use.
As ShelTech's expertise grew, they transitioned to larger and more advanced rocket designs. Through continuous innovation, the company has expanded its offerings to include rockets ranging from BT-60 to high-power models with a diameter of 4 inches and a height of 6 feet.
